Handedness refers to the more preferred hand of an individual, usually the better skilled hand. Society made me believe that there exist two groups: Right and Left handers. But I have been around long enough to know that this classification is nothing but a scam; at least in the part of the world where I come from. To tell the truth, there includes just one group and a bunch of ‘un-usuals’ who constitute a minority—A major minority.
In terms of mobile usage, the EFInA report of 2018 shows that 3.08 million (representing 3.1% of the adult population) have both mobile money and bank account while 0.3% adults have only mobile money account. Also, 82% of the adult population receive their income in cash while 10% receive their income into bank accounts or mobile money. This research aims to look into the financial inclusion statistics of Nigeria between 2008 and 2018 with much focus on 2018.
This analysis takes into consideration the operations and performance of the two Telecoms companies- MTN and Airtel listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. In this analysis, insights into the operations of the two companies in Nigeria are provided as well as review into their Financial performance for the period ended September 30, 2019.
